![]() Oh yes I agree that noble felt pretty distant. I wanted to side with him in the dispute and help him strike back against Defiance Bay's mob family. He told you about the gods, and you believed him! That BASTARD! You had to hear it from his own lips that the gods were a sham, that you'd been betrayed and deceived. In the end, you confront Thaos because he mentored you and you looked up to him. There are no "true" gods, and your vicious and bloody quest as an Inquisitor meant you had murdered and tortured many people who's only crime was not believing Thaos' lie. They were not who you were told they are. The weight of this dark truth is what shattered your mind and drove you to madness, visions, and whispers.Įverything you had done in service to the gods? Was in service of FALSE gods. she told you things, things you confirmed yourself in your past life but which were so horrific that you could not fully recall them. You spread the word of the gods, and tortured or executed anyone who denounced them.īut Iovara. In a past life, the player character was an Inquisitor and "missionary" in service to Thaos. What was the question and what was the answer? I had trouble following the story at this point. That you aren't really given that many answers but can instead choose your motives and conclusions. :D Perhaps that was why I enjoyed it so much. I wonder if that made any sense because the plot is so open and leaves you much room for interpretation. I personally liked it how you can shape the relationship of your Awakened Soul and Thaos a bit instead of it being static despite the fact that you are going through your Awakened Soul's memories. They all are mainly related to the fact that your Awakened soul and Thaos's soul have known each other in the past and have some business that wasn't resolved when you met last time, and to the conflict of whether the 11 gods are true (as Thaos wants people to believe) or false (as Iruvana or whoever that lady was taught people to believe on).ĭepending of your character's motives, you also might just be after Thaos because he crossed your path in the first dungeon and you are mad at him for basicly stealing souls of thousands of children.įunnily the game also seems to let you to choose whether you believe Thaos or not but whatever you decide, the game still has similar final showdown. As far as I understood, the question that you seek answers from Thaos is slightly up to you to decide.
